Travelling slowly with our kids, and writing it down

Hi, I'm Adam Yong. We are 2 adults and 2 kids, travelling together since 2013. We don't rush. We visit 2-3 places a day, and here I write down what we really did: where we stayed and how we got around. Also what went wrong.

About us

Who is behind YS Feet

We started travelling with our little kids in 2013. But we never recorded our journey properly. We usually just snapped a lot of photos and kept them somewhere. From our old About page

I'm Adam Yong. I live in Kuala Lumpur, and I have worked in software engineering and digital growth for over 20 years. Now my work is in search. YS Feet started as our family journal, so other parents can plan a trip with kids without running from 8 am till night time.

Today YS Feet also publishes travel guides, built from named public sources and checked by me. To be honest, I have not been to every place they cover.

Our trips

All trips

Only one trip is written up so far. I am catching up on our older trips, slowly.

Our guides

How our guides are made

Besides our own trips, YS Feet publishes independent travel guides, one small website per place. They are not trip stories. Every fact in them comes from a named public source, and I check every page before it goes live.

Some links in the guides can earn a commission. That never decides what goes in a guide.

In short

  • One guide per place, picked from what people search for
  • Every fact kept with its source link and re-checked
  • Written by AI from those facts only, then reviewed by me
  • Real photos only, no made-up trip stories
